making e-learning
interactive,
accessible,
& flexible.

As a designer, I created and developed webpages for 147 interactive e-learning modules, enhancing digital learning experiences for students across Ontario.

I transformed manuscripts into accessible HTML pages using InDesign, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and integrated interactive elements and visuals.

My work spanned both Elementary (Grades 1–8) and Secondary (Grades 9–12) English and French courses.

what

Designed and co-developed 147 interactive e-learning modules for the Ministry of Ontario Education, ensuring responsive layouts, accessibility compliance, and seamless integration into BrightSpace.

why

To create engaging, accessible, and visually consistent digital learning experiences for students across Ontario, spanning all ages and learning experiences.

how

  • Converted manuscripts into structured HTML pages using Adobe InDesign, Adobe Captivate, Angular, and JavaScript.

  • Enhanced pages with responsive design, custom CSS, and interactive elements.

  • Designed and integrated visual assets, videos, and in-house graphics to maintain brand consistency and improve user engagement.

Structure:

All learning modules follow a standardized structure, divided into three sections:

Minds On – Introduces students to the topic and sets the context.

Action – Engages students through interactive activities and exercises.

Consolidation – Encourages reflection and reinforces key concepts learned.

Each grade features characters that reflect the age group of the learners. Inclusive characters are illustrated throughout the courses to promote a sense of belonging and representation among students. These characters appear in the reflection sections and across course banners.
